OSHP provides amateur theatre in and for the Oregon, Wisconsin community, offering opportunities to participate voluntarily in all production processes, striving for excellence while stressing enjoyment and entertainment, and welcoming all those who choose to associate with the Oregon area.

  • In nineteenth century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter.

    Performances April 6th-14th.

    Maddy McMahon is performing in the Fireside Theatre's production of Miracle on 34th Street November 2nd-December 23rd.

    Rei Tangko and Brendan Moore are involved in Children's Theater of Madison's production of A Christmas Carol December 9th-23rd.

    Stephanie Drahozal, Renee Hegge, Tracy Hines, Beth McMahon, Maddy McMahon, Owen Metzger, Brian Mixtacki, Annabelle Reynolds, Gabby Reynolds, Grace Reynolds, Emily Richardson, Steve Schumacher, Rei Tangko, Gabbi Unitan, and Haylie Wollack will be in the cast of Beauty and the Beast with St. Bernard Players February 15th-24th, 2018. Mickey Reynolds is the director, Tara Reynolds the producer, David Lawver the music director, and Tracy Hines the choreographer. Support staff includes Jordan Baumgart, Rory Hines, and Nat Soucie-Porter. The orchestra includes Jerry Hrovat and Cori Jones. For reservations call (608)249-9256 x260 starting January 8th.

    Sami Elmer has joined the cast of the regional premiere of Tuck Everlasting with Children's Theater of Madison. Performances are February 17th-25th, 2018.

    Arik Zintel is the newest OSHPer in the Overture Center's Tommy Ensemble. He joins veterans Aris Awes, Katelyn Curtin, Emma DeWeese, Ashton Florence, John Fulton, Sam Galvin, Emme Hannibal, Maria Marsland, Caleb Matura, and Erin Milleville. Gail Becker directs the group.

    Collin Khamphouy is in the national tour of Pippin.

    Lee Wilkins (Damn Yankees 1985) is the Choreographer for Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella at the Casper Wyoming Evnets Center on November 12th. He was the Associate Choreographer of the Broadway production.

    Fabian Qamar, our Kasper from Amahl, is the new Director of the Sheboygan Symphony Chorus.

    Matt Kaspar (assistant conductor for our 2003 Sound of Music) has joined the Phoenix Symphony as Assistant Conductor and Phoenix Youth Symphony Music Director.

    Gail Becker is Director of Education for Capital City Theatre, Madison's brand new professional musical theatre company.
