(Simon's mother and conductor of four of the Madison Youth Choirs) as The Mother

Gregory Brumfield returns to OSHP as King Balthazar

Greg Walters makes his Oregon debut as King Melchior,
Fabian Qamar makes his Oregon debut as King Kaspar.
and local regular John Unertl IV plays The Page.

Since its first performance on NBC Television on Christmas Eve, 1951,
Amahl and the Night Visitors has taken its place as a holiday classic.

The story tells of the night the Three Kings, following the star to Bethlehem,
stop for shelter at the home of Amahl, a poor, crippled shepherd boy who
lives with his widowed mother. Inspired by the Wise Men's tale of a kingdom
"built on love alone," Amahl offers his own simple gift to the child they seek.

In this warm and compassionate story, Gian Carlo Menotti
has captured the essential spirit of Christmas.

Performances are:
Friday, December 19, 8:00 pm (admission is free but a free will donation will be gratefully accepted)
Sunday, December 21, as part of the 10:30 am worship
